Will Suryakumar Yadav Play Against Uganda After IPL Disappointment?

India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav can play against Uganda after a disappointing season of Indian Premier League recently. Suryakumar, who has been struggling for quite some time, might be seen playing against the African nation.

The Uganda cricket team is currently in Mumbai for a 50-over and a 20-over series. If Suryakumar plays, it will be a great opportunity for them to play against one of the best T20 batsmen of all time. However, his availability for this game is not yet confirmed.

Will Suryakumar Yadav Play Against Uganda?

According to MCA secretary Unmesh Khanvilkar, Suryakumar Yadav is a part of the Triumph Knights Mumbai North East for the match against Uganda on May 30. Although he didn't give any confirmation, he was positive of the Indian captain playing this match.

The Triumph Knights Mumbai North East vs Uganda match is likely to be held at the MCA Ground, Bandra Kurla Complex. It is a famous ground in Mumbai and has hosted a no. of domestic matches before.

After this match, Suryakumar Yadav will play in the T20 Mumbai League, where he is leading the Triumph Knights Mumbai North East team. It will be an excellent opportunity for them to prepare for the upcoming tournament.

The one-day series was won by Uganda 4-0 against the MCA Colts XI. The visitors will play four 50-over matches now, where they will face different teams from the T20 Mumbai League.

Suryakumar Yadav Looking For Form

Despite being one of the best batsmen in IPL, Suryakumar had a disappointing IPL season where he scored just 270 runs at an average of 20.76. His poor form didn't help Mumbai as they finished the group stage in the second-last spot in the IPL points table.

He had a lean run in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 as well where he failed to score big, apart from the knock against USA. He will be hoping to get back amongst the runs soon as it has raised questions about his captaincy future as well.
