This initiative by the ACA to introduce the inaugural season of the Women's Andhra Premier League aims towards the betterment of women's cricket in the state and provide them with a good platform to compete and showcase their skill set.

The Women's Andhra Premier League auction took place on August 25, 2026, with four teams placing bids on several players and building their squads. Indian Women's star Mithali Raj is the brand ambassador of the Women's Andhra Premier League, expanding the league's image.
