Hong Kong women are the defending champions of this event and once again will be strong contenders ahead of this tournament. Hosts China need to punch above their weight in order to bag the honours of this tournament.

Myanmar women are still in the lower rungs of T20I Rankings of Women’s Cricket and if they beat Hong Kong or China, it will be considered as a huge upset. On the other hand, Mongolia Cricket made their debut in international cricket in 2023 and would be the underdogs in this competition.
