Zimbabwe vs Namibia 2025: Full Schedule, Squads & Venues

The Zimbabwe National Cricket Team is one of the teams that are in action for almost all the year. In the early 90s, they were amongst the most threatening teams in the world. But since the last two decades, they haven’t been at their best and have struggled to get going, losing games from even the winning position.

However, since the last few months, they have been trying to bring their best and challenge some of the best cricket teams in the world. In their recent series against Sri Lanka, they batted and bowled brilliantly, showing signs of improvement, but failed to win the series in both formats (ODIs and T20Is).

On the other hand, Namibia, being the associate nation, have been playing very less amount of cricket. However, in the limited games that they play, they have shown immense talent and have played well in patches, putting in some decent performances with both bat and ball.

Namibia to Tour Zimbabwe for T20I Series

The Namibia National Cricket Team will be up against Zimbabwe this month. They will be touring to play the three-match series as both teams are on the road to the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, to be held next year.

Zimbabwe will be heading into the series on the back of some good form. They played the ODI and the T20I series against the Sri Lanka recently. They lost the 50-over series by a margin of 2-0 but put up an excellent fight in the T20Is. However, they still ended up losing by a margin of 2-1. On the other hand, Namibia recently played the ICC Cricket World Cup league 2 qualifier and has been in decent touch. They also recently beat Canada in the T20I series.

The Zimbabwe vs Namibia T20I series is all set to begin on September 15th. The second match will be played on the next day followed by the last game to be played on September 18. The hosts Zimbabwe didn’t make any changes to their squad from the Sri Lanka series. Sikandar Raza, one of the best all-rounders in the world, will be leading the team, while reputed names in Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Brad Evans, Blessing Muzarabani, Brendan Taylor and Sean Williams retained their places. On the other hand, Namibia are yet to announce their squad.
