Who is Tilak Varma? Know About His Girlfriend, Family, Career, Net Worth, Stats, and More

There has been a controversy surrounding him after last night’s Mumbai Indians’ loss against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He retired and became the fourth batter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history to be retired out. He was batting on 25 off 23 balls with two fours and then stepped off the pitch to make room for Mitchell Santner. MI needed 24 out of 7 balls at that point.
Tilak was struggling to score rapidly, prompting him to leave the field midway through his knock. MI captain Hardik Pandya, who was batting with Tilak at the moment, discussed the decision following the match. During the post-match press conference, MI head coach Mahela Jayawardene said he had decided to retire Tilak out. This has faced several backlashes.
Back in 2022, Rohit Sharma claimed that he would be one of India's finest talents with technique, temperament, and shot-making ability. He has been a part of the MI side since 2022 and has been performing well in the middle order for the side. He has played numerous match-winning innings for the five-time champions and is a top contender of captaincy in future.
