On his first live stream after the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals, Jonathan Gaming expressed that he was emotionally drained after being benched in the Survival Stages. Jonathan took the back seat for the team during the survival stages of BGIS 2026, as Godz played alongside Mnaya, Spower and Admino.

Despite not having the best tournament, Jonathan had taken 19 kills in 16 matches of the Semis. On his return in the grand finals, Jonathan recorded the highest finishes for Godlike. Although things appeared fine on the surface, his statements confirm that this decision was long overdue, given Godlike's trophyless run.

Jonathan is one of the few OGs who is still active as an e-athlete from the PUBG Mobile era. Following PUBGM's return to India as BGMI in 2021, Jonathan joined Godlike Esports. In Godlike, Jonathan saw the lowest points of his career in the 2022-23 season, missing out on a podium finish.

Even then, Godlike has continued to grow with Jonathan being the face and earning the rights to be a club partner to EWC 2026. Hence, Jonathan Gaming's leaving Godlike at this point appears to be a strategic gamble.
