As the game inches closer towards the release of its next version, v5.5.0, Konami is announcing new updates for the users and the things they need to perform to secure their accounts before the major maintenance period commences in the upcoming weeks. The eFootball region resetting issue is the new elephant in the room that the users need to address after the release of the game's next version. The next major update is speculated to commence in the middle of August, and the dates of which are expected to be out in this week's update.

Konami took to the official website of eFootball to remind users to re-login and reconfirm their regions after version v5.5.0 rolls out sometime in the upcoming week. Following the version update, once the game reopens, the users shall have to reconfirm their country or region of residence, just like the last time. The announcement further revealed that the user may need to enter their date of birth details depending on the region they reside in. The announcement further highlighted that users won't be able to change their country or region after resetting it once. Here are the important points to remember about the eFootball region resetting issue:

• Users can change their KONAMI ID Country/Region again from 11/08/2025, but only once every 365 days.
• Depending on the user's selected region, he/she may need to enter their date of birth as instructed onscreen.
• Setting an incorrect region may affect users' rights, and linked game account details may be overwritten by KONAMI ID settings.
