Indian Teams at PMWC 2026: Slots, Qualification Process and Prize Pool

The curtains over PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026 have been drawn. Krafton has officially announced the schedule and confirmed slots of teams that will be participating this summer. PMWC 2026 is scheduled between August 6 and 16, 2026, in Riyadh. The third edition of PMGC will see the top 32 teams from different regions compete for the title of 'World Champions' and a prize pool of $3000000.

As per the official trailer out on the YouTube channel of PUBG Mobile Esports, PMWC 2026 will see two Indian teams in action at Riyadh. As of now, only one of the 32 teams to participate in PMWC 2026 is known, and it's the last time champions Yangoon Galacticos.

All the teams will qualify for PMWC 2026 from their respective regions based on PMGC points standings. The regions where the global version of the game isn't played (India, China, KR/JP) will receive invited slots. The invited slots will be occupied by teams winning the domestic competitions of their region. You can check the slot distribution here:

Indian Teams Qualification Process for PMWC 2026

This time, there will be two Indian teams at PMWC 2026. While a clear roadmap is still awaited from the side of Krafton, it's quite sure that the two slots will be occupied by the two best-performing teams in official national tournaments. Ahead of PMWC 2026, the Indian region will see two major official tournaments, BGIS 2026 and BMPS 2026.

As per the trends, the champions of BMPS 2026 will be getting one of the two PMWC 2026 slots. BMPS is an invite-only tournament where only the top 96 teams from the country get to play. Before BMPS, India will crown the national BGMI champions in BGIS 2026. The second spot for the Indian region may be given to the winners of BGIS 2026.
