Who are FPL Price Risers?

Antoine Semenyo

Bournemouth’s Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo started the new Premier League season strongly despite his team suffering a 4-2 away defeat against the defending champions Liverpool. While the visitors were trailing by 2-0 at the season opener, Semenyo scored two goals to equalise the scoreline, but sadly, his team lost due to conceding late goals. With the help of three FPL bonus points, the Ghanaian earned 15 FPL points in the season opener. So, there is no doubt about his name in the list of early FPL price risers in the 2025/26 season.

The FPL midfielder Semenyo has now earned a £0.1m FPL price rise, as his latest FPL value is £7.1m. He has been selected by close to 10 per cent of FPL managers.

Hugo Ekitiké

The defending Premier League champions Liverpool started the new season with a thrilling 4-2 home win against Bournemouth. Liverpool’s newly signed French forward Hugo Ekitiké shone in that fixture after scoring one goal in the FA Community Shield match against Crystal Palace. In the new PL season opener, Ekitiké recorded one goal and one assist, which helped the FPL forward produce 11 FPL points, including two bonus points.

Surely, Ekitiké is now one of the new favourite names among the FPL managers, and he soon became one of the early FPL price risers in the 2025/26 season, while he has been selected by close to 20 per cent of FPL managers. His FPL value has gained £0.1m, as his present value is £8.6m.

Tijjani Reijnders

The Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is one of the three early FPL price risers in the 2025/26 season. In their season opener, City thrashed the hosts Wolves by 4-0, and Reijnders recorded one goal and one assist in that fixture. The Dutch midfielder earned 10 FPL points in that opening gameweek fixture, and he has already been an FPL favourite for his convenient value since the new season became live. About 25 per cent of FPL managers have selected Reijnders, while the Dutch midfielder has gained £0.1m after the gameweek 1 match, as his new FPL value is £5.6m.

Chris Wood

Nottingham Forest forward Chris Wood started the new season strongly. While his team beat Brentford by 3-1 at home in the opening gameweek, Wood scored two goals and produced 13 FPL points, along with three bonus points. He is a player who remains a hot favourite during his good form, as he consistently brings in regular points.

Almost 19 per cent of FPL managers have selected the New Zealand forward, as he is in the list of early FPL price risers in the 2025/26 season. With the £0.1m value rise, Wood’s present FPL value is £7.6m.

Daniel Ballard

Sunderland centre-back Daniel Ballard is getting popular after his opening gameweek outing, where the promoted club defeated West Ham United by 3-0 at home. In that game, the Northern Ireland footballer scored a goal, finished with a clean sheet, recorded 14 CBIT to bring two defensive contribution points, and also recorded three bonus points to generate a total of 17 FPL points, the highest by any player in that opening gameweek.

As Sunderland will face another promoted club Burnley in the second gameweek, Ballard is now the favourite in the FPL. While more than 5 per cent of managers have selected him in the FPL, his valuation has risen by £0.1m to guide his latest FPL value to £4.6m. His and his team’s performances in the upcoming gameweeks will be very important to understand how strong his present FPL valuation is.
