Mykhailo Mudryk Facing Another Ban Following Recent Actions Online

Ukrainian footballer Mykhailo Mudryk is once again making headlines following his recent actions off the field, despite currently serving a Chelsea ban. The Blues' winger is going to serve a one-month ban from Counter Strike 2 competitive platform FACEIT for in-game toxic messages.

Mudryk has not featured for the London-based club in a long time as the team currently sits in 5th spot in the EPL standings. The Blues have been missing the player as he is serving a provisional ban after testing positive for doping back in December 2024.

Since joining the FIFA Club World Cup champions in January 2023, the UEFA Conference League winner has made 73 appearances for Chelsea, contributing 10 goals and 11 assists.

Why is Mykhailo Mudryk Ban Grabbing Headlines?

The 25-year-old attacker was handed a suspension by FACEIT following an in-game dispute with some Polish players. According to Dexerto, some screenshots from the game in question show the Ukrainian sending messages in chat, which were insulting to the country of Poland and highly sensitive.

Toxicity was the main reason that FACEIT used for issuing the one-month ban for breaching the platform's code of conduct. While Mudryk did briefly apologize and stated his reasons for his conduct, his reasons and arguments have fallen on deaf ears.

How Long Has Mykhailo Mudryk Been Absent From The Chelsea Squad?

The former FC Shakhtar Donetsk star is no stranger to getting bans and has been a notable absentee from the Chelsea contingent this season. The Chelski footballer ban in December 2024 was attributed to a urine test that displayed a positive result for banned substances, after which Mudryk was formally charged in June 2025.

While the player has formally denied any wrongdoing, the investigations by the FA continue in the background. Doping cases usually are long, drawn-out affairs, and it will be a while before Mykhailo Mudryk is adjudged to be guilty or innocent by English football's apex body.
