Darwin Nunez was born on 24th June, 1999 in Uruguay and is a striker who currently plays for Liverpool and Uruguay's national football team. Nunez came through Penarol's youth academy and was promoted to the first team in 2017. He then joined Spanish Segunda División side Almeria for a club record fee in 2019. Later on, Benfica spotted his talent and signed him in 2020 for a club record fee of €24 million, which is also the most expensive signing in the history of Portuguese football. Nunez then won the Bola De Prata for being the top scorer in the Primeira Liga in his second season, scoring 28 goals in 26 games.
