The Spaniard is just 21 years old right now, so the best moments of his career are still ahead of him. His recent move to Wolves from Celta Vigo surely guides him in the right direction. So far, his journey to stardom from youth ranks has been an example of his hard work and tenacity. Let us have a look at his international and club career journey till now.
It all started for the Spaniard when he joined the youth academy of Celta Vigo in 2013. Lopez made consistent progress through the ranks, spending time on loan as well before featuring for Gran Pena, which is the farm team of Celta. It was the 2022-23 season when he made a total of 11 appearances, scoring only once. His chemistry with his teammates allowed him to showcase his flair at the number 10 position, and eventually, his dedication to being the better version of himself earned him the promotion to Celta B. There, he was an important cog of the squad, making more than 48 appearances and scoring 11 goals across three seasons.
His hard work and strides caught the attention of the senior team coaching staff of Celta and earned him a debut back in October 30, 2024. Since then, he has made 20 appearances across all competitions for Celta, scoring four goals. Following the 2024-25 campaign, Wolves made it a priority to begin their summer transfer window with the acquisition of the Spaniard, and the 21-year-old was equally excited to join his close friend Strand Larsen, who had a big say on his transfer decision to Wolves. Here are his club stats so far, by FotMob:
As of 2025, the Spaniard is yet to make his national team debut. Given his transfer to Wolves, if he can be a regular feature in the team and get the necessary game time, we might just see a call-up for the national team soon.
As of 2025, the attacking midfielder has not won any silverware. He just broke out for Celta last season and made a big move to Wolves for the 2025-26 campaign. Given his form and his willingness to contribute to the team, we can soon see him win awards and recognition.
