Defenders

Waldemar Anton - 7.0: A really commanding presence at the back. He was comfortable on the ball, boasting a 90% pass accuracy and even created a chance. We saw him win most of his duels and make some vital clearances. He was a steadying influence when Leipzig applied pressure. A very reliable performance.

Nico Schlotterbeck - 7.5: Led by example as captain. Despite an early yellow card that could have unsettled him, he was defensively immense. He made a crucial last-man tackle and was a rock, making six clearances and three interceptions. His passing from the back was almost perfect. A true captain's display.

Ramy Bensebaini - 7.0: A mixed but ultimately positive game. He was a threat going forward, firing off two shots and delivering a good cross. Defensively, he won all his tackles and made some key clearances. However, he did lose possession a bit too often for our liking, which slightly tarnishes an otherwise strong showing.

Midfielders

Yan Couto - 7.5: Scored the crucial equalizer with a composed finish, which is the main highlight of his game. He was a constant outlet on the flank before being subbed off at the hour mark. He created a key pass and was always looking to be positive. From our perspective, he did his job perfectly before being replaced.

Felix Nmecha - 6.0: A quiet game from the midfielder. He struggled to impose himself on the match, losing the ball ten times and winning less than half of his duels. While he showed some flashes with a couple of successful dribbles, he was largely ineffective. It wasn't a surprise to see him substituted.

Marcel Sabitzer - 6.5: A very industrious but ultimately frustrating performance. He worked tirelessly and recovered the ball six times. However, he was dribbled past four times and seemed to be just a step off the pace. He had three shots but couldn't find the target effectively. A decent work rate but lacked the final product.
