The stage was set for the World Cup preparations as Brazil and France went head-to-head in an international friendly on American soil. The France national football team, led by Real Madrid stalwart Kylian Mbappe, started on a dominant note against the Selecao, which had his club teammate Vinicius Jr.

In national colours, Mbappe appeared more effective and gave France a valuable lead ahead of the break. The 2018 World Cup winner beat Ederson with a clinical finish after France won the ball in the midfield.
