A festive night in Morocco could have turned into disappointment on the opening day of the prestigious AFCON tournament, as the host nation faced Comoros and it almost looked like the match would end in a 0–0 draw.

Comoros were very strong defensively, with a clear plan to absorb pressure and wait for Morocco to make a mistake they could capitalize on.
