Real Betis 2-5 Barcelona Player Ratings: Lamine Yamal 9.1/10 as the Blaugrana Run Riot at La Cartuja With a Stunning Five-Goal Masterclass

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona delivered yet another statement La Liga performance, dismantling Real Betis 5-2 at the Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla in a display of relentless attacking quality and clinical finishing that sends the Blaugrana further clear at the top of the table and underlines their status as the division’s most complete and devastating side. Manuel Pellegrini’s Betis, despite competing admirably in the opening stages, were ultimately overwhelmed by a Barcelona attack that showed no mercy once the numerical advantage arrived.

Bernal’s straight red card for violent conduct in the 54th minute, arriving when Betis had just pulled level at 2-2 through Ezzalzouli’s finish, was the pivotal moment that transformed a competitive contest into a comprehensive demolition. Barcelona’s depth and quality made the man advantage tell immediately, with Gabriel Jesus, Eric Garcia and Dani Olmo all adding to the scoresheet in a devastating final 36 minutes that left Betis with absolutely no realistic hope of salvaging anything from the encounter.

Lamine Yamal was the evening’s irresistible force, his 10th-minute opener setting the tone and his relentless directness, creativity and intelligence throughout earning a thoroughly deserved 9.1/10 rating that reflects a performance of the very highest La Liga quality. The 19-year-old’s ability to consistently produce match-defining contributions in the away fixtures underlines why he remains the most important player in Flick’s system and the most exciting player to watch in world football.
