He made four saves, including a couple of really sharp stops to deny Cucho Hernández and Antony. He was left horribly exposed by his defence time and again. From our perspective, he did what he could in an impossible situation. A thankless task on the day.

Defenders

Djené - 5.5: As captain, this was a day he'll want to forget. He was part of a backline that was completely overwhelmed by Betis's movement. While he won all of his ground duels, the defence lacked any sort of cohesion. He looked a step off the pace, unable to organise a sinking ship. A really poor collective showing.

Domingos Duarte - 5.5: He won all five of his duels and made three interceptions, which looks good on paper. However, the reality on the pitch was different. The defence was pulled apart so easily. He seemed to be fighting fires everywhere but was ultimately part of a unit that conceded four goals. He looked shell-shocked by the end.

Juan Iglesias - 4.5: A very difficult evening for the full-back. He was tormented by the Betis attackers and committed three fouls out of frustration. He lost possession 13 times and just couldn't handle the pace of the game. It was a performance that highlighted his defensive vulnerabilities against top-tier opposition.

Allan Nyom - 5.0: Lasted just 58 minutes before being hooked. He picked up a yellow card for a cynical foul and was a liability. He was repeatedly beaten and offered little going forward. The substitution felt like an act of mercy from his manager. Just not at the races.
