Tottenham played at their training centre against Getafe in a closed-door friendly fixture, as they looked to extend their winning streak in this pre-season. Meanwhile, Getafe were coming off two successive defeats at the hands of Atletico Madrid and Monaco, and were desperate for a positive result before kicking off their La Liga campaign.

There was no doubt that Tottenham Hotspur would have more control of the game, and Roberto De Zerbi's side did exactly that. Getafe were happy to sit behind and defend, keeping a really tight structure.

Both teams had taken a couple of shots in the first half, but neither of them could inflict harm on the other. As a result, the game went into halftime without a sign of a goal from either side.

In the second half, Getafe surprised Tottenham out of nowhere as Alberto Risco popped up with a goal in the 66th minute from a Francisco Burgos assist to give the visitors the lead. However, their lead lasted just four minutes as Conor Gallagher equalized to keep Spurs' winning run safe.
