Current Newcastle United Manager: Eddie Howe

Eddie Howe played as a centre-back during his professional career and spent most of the time playing for AFC Bournemouth, making over 200 appearances for the club from 1994 to 2002. He further joined Bournemouth after a year of loan spells at various clubs. He retired in 2007 and started his managerial journey by managing AFC Bournemouth in 2008. After a brief spell with Burnley, Eddie Howe returned to Bournemouth in 2012 and led them to get promoted to the Premier League during his tenure from 2012 to 2020, which also saw Bournemouth's rise in English football.

The current Newcastle United manager, Eddie Howe, has been a great coach for NUFC, and since joining the club as a manager in 2021, Eddie Howe has proved to be beneficial for the side. Eddie replaced Steve Bruce in November of 2021 and had a great successive winning streak at home in 2022 with six successive wins at home after 2004. 2023 saw Eddie Howe guiding Newcastle to the EFL Cup final, which further became their first cup final in 23 years. The current Newcastle United manager also led NUFC to a Champions League qualification after having a top-four finish in the Premier League in 2023. This Champions League entry became the club's first entry in the competition since the 2002-03 campaign. In 2024, Eddie Howe concluded Newcastle's Premier League run with 85 goals scored, the highest ever by the club in the Premier League. NUFC also beat Liverpool to win the EFL Cup, hence ending their 56-year trophy drought.
