The military shooters of tomorrow are being designed with the community in mind. DICE seems to understand that very well, as they just announced the new Battlefield Labs Sign Up programme. You will now have the opportunity to play an indispensable role in shaping the next season of Battlefield 6.

This program is put in place to enable gamers to have direct communication with Battlefield Studios. It will help the developers get important feedback on experimental features before they are introduced to the market.

What is BF Labs?

It is wise to figure out what BF Labs is before signing up. It is a place where devs, including DICE, Criterion, and Ripple Effect, check out new systems. BF Labs is different from regular demos since it offers "grey box" testing, where the focus is more on mechanics rather than visually polished.

At present, the labs are deployed in the development of a four-class system along with the fan-favourite destruction engine.

The Battlefield Labs sign-up procedure is quite simple, but having an EA Account is a prerequisite. Due to program confidentiality maintained by a strict Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), one cannot be freely invited. They are sent individually through the EA Playtesting portal.

To complete your Battlefield Labs Sign up, follow these steps:

Open the official EA Playtesting website.
Use your EA account to sign in and make sure your platform (PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S) is correctly linked to your account.
Fill out the hardware and gameplay preference survey.
Check your email for invitations from [email protected].

You may not be allowed to participate, as the tests are often regional (currently concentrated in NA, EU, and expanding into APAC).

New Features in Testing

Initially, a few of the enhancements from this list are expected to reach Battlefield 6 Season 2 (scheduled for February 17, 2026) through some early patches. The most significant changes, however, will stay in the Labs for a few more months.
