BGMI Lite Pre Registration Date Revealed After PUBG Mobile Lite Announcement

Krafton just revealed the BGMI Lite pre-registration date, and players can punch their tickets to a new battleground experience right when the game officially launches. While the world tuned in to Day 3 of the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 to see who was crowned the PMWC 2026 winners, both PUBG Light and BGMI Lite were surprisingly announced. The Indian Gaming Community had to wait until today for the official BGMI Lite pre registration date.

BGMI Lite Pre Registration Begins Next Week

After the PUBG Mobile Lite pre-registration date was announced alongside the game announcement from Rick Li, everyone in the BGMI community speculated whether we would have the same pre-registration date for BGMI Lite.

After @battlegroundsmobilein_official and @bgmi_lite.official made their recent announcement, the Indian Gaming Community got their answer. This is the second major update to the game since we got BGMI Lite announced by Krafton. As per the announcement, players will be able to pre-register for BGMI Lite on 25th August, the same date as PUBG Mobile Light's.

Please note that only Android users will be able to pre-register for BGMI Lite on 25th August 2026. A pre-registration date for iOS users will be announced later.

BGMI Lite Release Date and Game Size

As per Krafton's BGMI Lite Pre registration announcement, the game will be released by the end of this year. As of now, there is no official announcement of the exact BGMI Lite release date. On September 2, 2020, PUBG Mobile Lite was banned in India along with PUBG Mobile. While they officially announced BGMI as an Indian-native version of the main game, there had been no certainty about PUBG Mobile Lite's return until now.

Given how long the community has been asking for the game, the BGMI Lite pre-register news has kept the gaming community buzzing with excitement. The game will have an initial download size of around 1GB. The total size will depend on the resources you opt to download.
