BGMI Next Update: Release Date, New Features, and Patch Details

BGMI's next update is closer than you can imagine, and we already have some leaks surrounding the new themed mode that you will be getting in version 4.3. When is the BGMI next update?

Krafton is yet to announce the official date of the BGMI next update, but if we take a closer look at the past trends, you can expect it to come anytime by the second week of March 2026. As per some sources, March 16, 2026, is speculated to be the day Krafton releases the version 4.3 update of BGMI. The major theme will be disclosed in the upcoming days. What will be in the next BGMI 4.3 Update?

Like most of the other version updates, the BGMI next update will bring a new themed mode. The next BGMI update is going to change the game's version to 4.3. You will get some fresh content in BGMI version 4.3. From new UI to themed powers, here is a list of things you may get upon the release of the new version. All these leaks are based on the closed beta tests:

• New UI

The new update will give a new UI which is lighter in texture than usual. It will be seen everywhere from home screen to inventory and events.

• New Sky

The next BGMI update will see a new sky in all the maps. The sky will be more realistic than ever.

• New Sniper Rifle

A new semi-automatic sniper rifle called the M1 Garand will arrive in the game. This gun will use 7.62 ammo and will be available to be used in Erangel.

• Hit the enemy with a gun

The best feature of this update is that you will be able to hit or stab the enemy with the gun if it runs out of ammo. A knife-like melee weapon will be attached to the front of the gun, as can be seen in the image.

• Themed mode super power

There will be 5 unique superpowers that you will get in the new version 4.3 themed mode. All the powers will have 3 levels: B, A and S, where B will give the minimum stats boost, and S will give the maximum boost. You will get the chance to choose a specific power on the spawn island.

• Vehicle Power

This power will give more endurance to your vehicles. They will consume less fuel and carry more bullets. At the A level, your vehicle's tyre won't be busted.

• Healing Power

This will be called Healing Specialization. At level B, this power will reduce the revival time of your teammates. At 'A' level your team mates won't be required to apply healing.

• Perception Specialization

This power is related to the throwables like Smoke and Grenades.

• Detection Specialization

This power will enable you to detect the location of enemies within a range.

• Combat Specialization

You will be getting a special 'balloon-like vehicle,' using which you will be able to fly to any location.

Battlegrounds Mobile India mainly gets four kinds of updates:

• Major Update: These are the largest updates BGMI gets. Downloading a new version of the game is mandatory after every major update. You get new content once a major update happens, like new modes, weapons and features.
• Hotfix patch updates: These updates generally bring balance changes, mostly to the damage stats of weapons. They either buff or Nerf a gun.
• Resource Update: These updates make you download additional data like maps, audio packs, voice packs and more. They usually accompany the major updates.
• Season Updates: These updates basically bring a new Royal Pass. It also resets the tiers of the players.

How often do BGMI updates come?

While some BGMI updates are frequent, others are very unpredictable. You can check the details here:

• Major Updates: These come once every 2 months.
• Hotfix Patch Updates: These arrive based on requirements. If a weapon suddenly becomes overpowered, Krafton brings this update to balance the field.
• Resource Update: These updates come with all major updates.
• Season Update: A BGMI royal pass comes for 8 weeks, so it refreshes after the given time period.

When does the current BGMI Season End?

As per the in-game calendar, the current BGMI season 27 will end on 26th March 2026. The new BGMI season 28 will commence immediately after this season concludes.
