Supercell Brings Back the Clash of Clans Global Chat With This Month's June Update

Supercell has finally shared the news that the whole CoC community was waiting for! Ever since the Global Chat was removed back in 2019, players have been rooting for its return, and finally, this summer, the much-awaited feature is making a comeback.

Yes, you heard it right! The Clash of Clans Global Chat is returning, but with a few caveats. The Global Chat is getting a massive change with groups, communities, and reactions. Let's look at everything we know, as one of Supercell's most loved features is returning!

CoC Global Chat Returns With a Better and Safer Environment

One of the main reasons to remove the Global Chat in CoC was the excess toxicity and harassment that existed there. Due to a lack of moderation, the developers were forced to drop one of the game's most engaging features.

After years of waiting and player requests, the developers have finally heard, and Global Chat makes a comeback with better tools, better safety systems, and three new ways to connect. The feature is making a comeback tomorrow with this month's Clash of Clans June 2026 Update. Let's check them out below!

Supercell Is Providing Three Unique Ways To Engage With the Community in the New CoC Global Chat

As part of the latest update, Global Chat has been rebuilt from the ground up with three new modes to connect with the community. Besides the Global Chat, the update is also bringing the brand new Clash of Clans Ruin Witch Troop and Angry Spell tomorrow!

1. Groups

Groups come as small player-created community spaces, catered specifically for your clanmates or friends who are no longer your clanmates. Being small-scale forums, they can be either public, private, or invite-only, acting as a personalized version of your Clan Chat.

Albeit they are small, you can engage in friendly banter with Reactions and Stickers. Additionally, you can send in your Profile and Clan links with your friends to join in or invite them via QR codes. Groups will initially support upto 800 members at launch.

2. Community

Community is basically a subsection of the game's previous Global Chat. They are groups but for the bigger crowds consisting upto 50,000 members at launch. Given it's size, the Community message history lasts only for 12 hours.

3. Town Square

Finally comes the mega Global Chat, Town Square. Serving as the game's newest Social Hub, players can treat this as a Notice Board from Supercell informing about everything ongoing in and around the game.

As expected, all players are automatically placed in the Town Square Chat with only ambassadors, community creators and special guests having the access to post there to maintain decorum. Players can however engage and react to all the communcations happening at the Town Square in real time.

There's a new Social Tab coming as well which will serve as the Hub for all your interactions within the game, including the new Global Chat features and the good old Clan Chat! Additionally do note that the return of Global Chat indicates stricter community moderations, hence engage in banters with precaution!

To avoid the mismanagement from previous Global Chats, Supercell is rolling out the new feature slowely, allowing only its creators to create groups for the first two days with other players getting full access afterwards! Tomorrow's June update in short is looking exciting, especially as its also bringing the brand new Clash of Clans Hero Journey feature.
