The latest Clash Royale TV Royale May 2026 episode aired on Thursday, May 21, 2026. In this episode, they revealed the new Hero and Evolution that will be introduced next season, along with new game modes, changes to Collection Levels, the return of Seasonal Arenas, and more.

Clash Royale New Hero Tombstone

After Clash Royale teased the new Hero with a cryptic image of a bunch of Skeletons hunched up together underground, the community instantly figured out that the Clash Royale new Hero is going to be Hero Tombstone. This new Hero has the same stats as the original Tombstone, which spawns Skeletons periodically. However, this time it gets a new Heroic ability that lets you destroy the Tombstone a bit earlier to spawn the Tomb Queen, a lumbering Skeleton.

She is a new troop that only targets buildings and towers. Additionally, she periodically spawns more Skeletons when she walks and when she dies. Moreover, you can activate this ability even when the Tombstone gets destroyed. However, you only have a few seconds to do so.

Clash Royale New Evolution Princess Evolution

After also being teased on social media previously, the icy Princess Evolution is coming to Clash Royale next season. In her evolved form, she now shoots icy arrows on her first attack and every third attack from then on.

These arrows slow down and damage all enemies hit. Moreover, she now spawns an icy zone when she dies that also damages and slows down enemy troops inside it. New Clash Royale Collection Level System

Figuring out how you gained Collection Levels is tricky since different cards give different amounts of XP. However, this all changes with the next Clash Royale update, where the King's Journey is completely replaced with the new Clash Royale Collection Level system. Every time you upgrade your cards, they will increase your Collection Level by one. If you unlock the Evolution or Hero variant of a card, you also earn five bonus Collection Levels.

Instead of getting new King Chests for leveling up, you will now gain many different kinds of rewards depending on your Collection Level. You get a new reward for every 10 Collection Levels you gain. Your King Tower level will also get upgraded at certain intervals.

Seasonal Trophy Road is Back

Previously when you reached the end of the Trophy Road, you would become eligible to play matches in a new rotating seasonal arena. After last making an appearance in 2025, they will finally return with the next update.

This time, there will be multiple arenas each season. When you climb to the first arena in trophies to unlock new rewards, you must create a new deck to begin battling in the next arena without using any of your most-used cards, which are automatically banned.

Daily Catch-Up Rewards

The best way to earn free Gold in Clash Royale is by playing the game daily and winning up to four matches to earn free Magic Lucky Chests. You will be relieved to know that you can still get these chests even if you didn't log in for a few days. When you log in again, you will get bonus free Lucky Magic Chests for the first win of the day.

Victory Run Event

In this new Clash Royale Event, you must win normal matches in other game modes to climb higher and reach certain level checkpoints. each checkpoint has a new reward for you to unlock. However, you only have three lives. Lose three times, and you are out.

However, you can refill all lost lives by simply reaching the next checkpoint. If you get knocked out before you do so, you can use 10 Gems to retry again. You also get one additional life if you bought the premium Pass Royale.

New Princess Gambit Game Mode

The new Princess Gambit game modes change the rules of the game a bit. This time, you will have to fight with only both your Princess towers and without your King Tower. The first one to break any one of the enemy towers wins the match, making it feel similar to the Sudden Death game mode.

However, the biggest change is the fact you don't need a deck for this game mode. Since this mode is limited to a pool of only 40 cards, they will appear randomly in your hand. At the start of every match, both players will be shown which Evolutions and Heroes will have a chance of appearing in your hand. As such, knowing which are the best Clash Royale cards is a must.
