The ICC-backed upcoming title, eCricket, will begin with Closed Beta tests very shortly. Marketed as the first-ever live service AAA cricket game, eCricket appears to revolutionise the cricket-playing experience on handsets.

With Shivaji Park as the main setting, eCricket gives an indigenous touch, coming out from an Indian studio. The eCricket Closed Beta release date is finally out, and the community will soon get to play the new game.

Lightfury Games Postpones eCricket Closed Beta Release Date

Lightfury Games has finally drawn the curtains on the eCricket Closed Beta release date. The devs announced the rollout timeline on their official Discord server. As per the announcement, the eCricket Closed Beta release date will be in October 2026.

The eCricket CBT rollout will be in phases. Not all players will receive access to the Closed Beta on the same day, with the rollout happening gradually over the next 2-3 weeks. Do note that only Android players will be able to run the eCricket CBT on a device with at least 8 GB of RAM.

The game has many licensed Indian and foreign players. Some of them who have already been revealed in the game's trailer are: Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Rohit Sharma. No details on the gameplay and mechanics are known as of now.

eCricket CBT Passes Have Already Been Sent Out

The eCricket Closed Beta test pre-registrations were live back in July 2026. Those players who had applied for it have already received the eCricket Closed Beta Pass via email. Only those who have the pass will be able to run the early access version of the game on their devices.

Players who missed out on the pre-registrations can still join the waitlist on the official eCricket website. The devs will share some free rewards like 1000 eCoins, a Founder badge and a marquee player card with the eCricket CBT testers.
