iQOO Battlegrounds Series Announced: ₹1 Crore BGMI LAN Tournament

iQOO, the popular smartphone brand, just made a big move in Indian esports with the reveal of its largest-ever tournament so far. Called the iQOO Battlegrounds Series, this high-stakes BGMI competition is being organized in collaboration with NODWIN Gaming and comes with a giant ₹1 crore prize pool. Kicking off from July 21, 2025, the series aims to bring together top-tier teams and fresh community talent in what looks to be a serious milestone for mobile gaming in the country.

This event will run in a hybrid structure, meaning it’s going to include both online and offline stages. Things start with qualifiers from July 21, where 31 of India’s top BGMI teams will compete alongside the winner of the iQOO Community Cup. The idea here seems to be giving rising esports hopefuls a chance to shine at the highest competitive level. The whole event builds up to a major LAN finale between August 8 and 10, where fans can expect to see the most intense action happen live.

iQOO CEO Nipun Marya revealed that the new series will be the brand's flagship esports event. The iQOO Battlegrounds Series is constructed to put India's best gaming talent in the spotlight, he added. For him, esports is not merely competition because it involves skill, technology, and aspiration. Entertainment is just secondary, as the aim is to develop the Indian gaming ecosystem.

NODWIN Gaming, the event management company, also spoke its mind. Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director, stated the tournament is not just another esports tournament. It reflects the common vision shared by NODWIN and iQOO, of nurturing new talent, innovation, and best quality events.

Abhishek Aggarwal, the Co-founder of Trinity Gaming, also welcomed the series. He described it as combining high performance, content creators, and esports competition in one large platform. He is optimistic about what this collaboration can deliver and is looking forward to collaborating with iQOO and NODWIN.
