LoL Patch 26.17 Preview: All Champion and System Tweaks Summarised

With just a week left, the League community got a good look at the LoL Patch 26.17 Preview. Once again, the lead designer, Matt Leung-Harrison, posted details on the upcoming changes. This time, however, there's a slight catch. Unlike most of the time, the Lol 26.17 update is not focused on Champion adjustments. All of them have either been buffed or nerfed to bring balance to Summoner's Rift.

According to Riot Games, this particular update will go live on August 26, 2026, two weeks after the previous one. Essential characters like Cho'Gath, Qiyana, Asol Vayne, Graves, and more will undergo significant changes, according to their impact in 26.16. As mentioned earlier, Matt Leung-Harrison haven't delayed the LoL Patch 26.17 Preview. As per the trends, the lead designer posted a sneak peek at the upcoming patch a week ago before the final release.

League of Legends Patch 26.17 System Changes

Unlike the previous 26.16 patch, the developers have kept the number of system changes quite small. Only two of the systems will undergo changes. Here's an overview:

The Stormrazor system will be buffed in terms of power to broaden its user pool. The Sundered Sky, on the other hand, the devs have nerfed the overall impact to watch increased movement in the AP Jungles.
