Another new week is upon us in Pokemon GO. The Pokemon GO weekly event begins with Abra making its Dynamax debut. Following the Monday Max day and before the psychic spectacular event, we have the perfect event for the trainers to farm hefty XP in the form of a Gothita Spotlight hour.

Ever since the introduction of the event, we have seen Pokemon GO consistently rotate the feature of spotlight hour. This week, it is no different. From getting the shiny variant of this psychic-type Pokemon to farm some great XP from catching, a lot is awaiting the trainers on 16th September 2025. Here is everything you need to know about the time, date, and bonuses of the Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour.

Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour

During the news on Tales of Transformation, Pokemon GO had come out and gave us a glimpse of what you can expect from the spotlight hours of September.

Following the Pidgey spotlight hour, the Trubbish spotlight hour on 9th September was a blast, given the Stardust bonanza trainers had for one whole hour. Given that catching Trubbish grants 750 Stardust, since the event had 2x catch Stardust, trainers received 1500 Stardust per catch. Moreover, the trainers who used a Star Piece received 2250 Stardust per Trubbish catch.

The same excitement is surrounding the Gothita Spotlight hour since catching each Gothita with a Lucky Egg can grant you up to 8,000 XP per catch if you can be precise with your throws.

@LeekDuck took it to their official X to make the Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour reminder live with the community on 15th September, 2025, around 7 AM (IST). On 16th September, 2025, 7 PM local time, Gothita Spotlight hour will start. Save the date! Given the success of Trubbish spotlight hour and the possibilities of Gothita Spotlight hour, it was understandable why the trainers are excited to grind for one whole hour this Tuesday.

Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour: Shiny & Non-shiny

Can Gothita be shiny in the wild? Yes, the shiny variant of Gothita has already been released in Pokemon GO.

It will be available during the Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour scheduled for 16th September, 2025 (This Tuesday) at 6 PM to 7 PM local time.

Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour: Bonuses & Date

The Pokemon GO Gothita Spotlight Hour will begin on 16th September 2025 at 6 PM local time and will last for one whole hour before ending on 16th September 2025 at 7 PM. During the spotlight hour, trainers will enjoy a 2x catch XP bonus. While it doesn't offer much of a compelling bonus at first glance, if you bring your best catching skills, you can earn 8,000 XP per catch during the spotlight hour. Here's what you'll need:

• Pop up a lucky egg.
• Increase the time of the lucky egg with the roar of time of your Palkia, or pop up another lucky egg to ensure the effect stays for one whole hour.
• Catch every Gothita, but make sure you are throwing only excellent throws.
• Use Ultra Ball and Golden or Normal Razz Berries to ensure better odds of catching.
