The young cricketer, reportedly associated with DC as a net bowler, suffered a serious injury during a practice session ahead of the game. Reports confirm that a DC net bowler was “badly injured” during a training session at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and had to be admitted to a nearby hospital.

However, it was the gesture from Punjab Kings players and staff, who reportedly checked on him and extended support despite being opponents. As mentioned above, Stoinis himself visited him and gifted him a signed cap, while a member of PBKS was heard saying, “Punjab Kings stands with you.” It was a big moment for Varri Giriprasad cricketer and something that he would remember for the rest of his career.

The injury was quite serious as he was taken to the hospital via an ambulance. However, he has got better with time and will be aiming to return to the field soon.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings defeated Delhi Capitals in a record-breaking match which saw more than 500 runs scored. DC would have felt comfortable after scoring 264 runs but the Kings chased it down with seven balls to spare and maintained their spot at the top of the IPL points table.
