It was speculated that Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders are the frontrunners to acquire the services of the best all-rounder in IPL. According to Rohit Juglan, a renowned sports journalist, Hardik Pandya is all set to join Kolkata Knight Riders as his next IPL team. Adding to it, he is likely to become KKR new captain as well.

This means that the star all-rounder won't play for Chennai Super Kings. There were speculations over the last few days about Pandya being contacted by CSK but the deal has failed to reach any agreement.

Hardik Pandya KKR captain announcement is not yet official, however, it has created a sense of excitement amongst his fans. This move also solves KKR's captaincy conundrum after their last season's skipper Ajinkya Rahane announced his retirement recently.
