Yet, fans and even Melo appeared bemused about the sudden firing decision from the Nuggets front office.

To rationalize the decision from his perspective, Melo started explaining how the Nuggets under Mike Malone had peaked. Malone had successfully built a winning culture at Denver, which led to many dubbing his roster as a dynasty.
