1. Ademola Lookman

Ademola Lookman registered his name in the record books as he became the first player to bag a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final. The 26-year-old forward helped his Seria A club Atalanta beat the Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen in the tournament’s 2023-2024 edition final as the Italian club lifted the Europa League for the first time in their history.

Lookman played really well on the night as his pace upfront caused problems for Leverkusen’s defenders. The Nigerian was up to the mark when it came to finishing the chances created by him as well. It can be marked as one of his best games in the Atalanta shirt so far.

2. Ferenc Puskas

Ferenc Puskas registered his first hat-trick for Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League final against German club Frankfurt in the season 1959-1960. He scored four goals in that UCL final as his team won the title. His second UCL final hat-trick came against the Portugal-based club Benfica in the 1961-1962 campaign.

In the same game as his teammate Ferenc Puskas scored a UCL hat-trick against Frankfurt, Alfredo Di Stefano also bagged three goals. The final scoreline stood 7-3 in favor of the Los Blancos, as they both secured a thumping victory for their team on that night. Stefano had an illustrious career and is regarded as one of the legends of the sport of football. Born in Argentina and having Spanish citizenship, he represented both countries on the international stage during his playing days.

4. Pierino Prati

Pierino Prati netted a hat-trick in a Champions League final for AC Milan against the Dutch club Ajax. He achieved this feat in the 1968-1969 edition of the tournament. Aided by his heroics, the Italian club went on to lift the UCL trophy that season by beating Ajax via a scoreline of 4 goals to 1. The forward was termed as one of the most potent finishers ever.
