Dusan Vlahovic to Chelsea

Chelsea Eye Summer Move for Juventus Star Forward

In the midst of ongoing speculations, Chelsea Football Club is reportedly mulling over a potential summer swoop for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Chelsea Looking to Add Another Striker

Despite securing the signings of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku last summer, Chelsea remained linked with forwards throughout the recent transfer window.

However, the winter market concluded without any new additions for the Blues, as Armando Broja departed on loan to Fulham for the remainder of the season.

While Broja’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain, Chelsea are anticipated to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, with a new striker high on their agenda.

According to reports from Tutto Juve, Chelsea had previously tabled a bid for the 24-year-old last summer, albeit falling short of Juventus’ valuation. Now, they are deliberating whether to reignite their interest in Vlahovic during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Dusan Vlahovic Valuation

Any potential deal is expected to command a hefty fee, with Juventus purportedly holding out for a figure in excess of £90 million.

However, Chelsea may face competition from Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish club also expressing interest in the Juventus forward.

In another development reported by TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus may encounter contractual hurdles in retaining Vlahovic. Despite being tied to the club until June 2026, Vlahovic is poised for a significant salary increase from €8 million (£6.8 million) to €12 million (£10.5 million) in the summer.

However, Juventus, grappling with financial constraints, is hesitant to meet the inflated wage demands and is exploring options to renegotiate his contract with a lesser pay rise supplemented by bonuses.

On the field, Dusan Vlahovic has been in scintillating form, netting six goals in his last five Serie A outings. With a total of 12 goals in 21 league appearances this season, the Serbian international continues to assert himself as a potent goal-scoring threat in Italian football, trailing only Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez in the Serie A goal-scoring charts.
