Cole Palmer joined Manchester City’s academy at the age of eight despite being a fan of Manchester United. He progressed through the ranks captaining the under-18 team during the 2019-20 season. At 14, there were concerns about his slight physique, and coaches considered releasing him at 16. However, academy director Jason Wilcox decided to keep him.
Palmer began his career at Manchester City coming up through their academy. He made his senior debut for the Cityzens in 2020.
