Who could replace Germán Pezzella in Aregntina’s Copa America 2024 Squad?

Pezzella sustained a minor muscle injury in the month of May while playing for Real Betis. Argentina may need to find a replacement if he is unable to recover in time for the Copa America 2024. Potential candidates to take his place are Lucas Martínez Quarta and Leonardo Balerdi.

The Argentina national team is currently training in Miami as they prepare for their upcoming matches against Ecuador and Guatemala, respectively.

Head coach Lionel Scaloni will soon reduce his squad from 29 to 26 players for the Copa America 2024. The event is planned to be held in the United States later this month.
