Explained: Kylian Mbappe is not coming to Nice with PSG after announcing his departure

Paris Saint-Germain did not include Kylian Mbapp with the squad on the team’s latest away trip to Nice. This happened just two days after the player announced his departure from the club once the season ended. Winger Ousmane Dembele is also not in the squad, as the capital-based team announced the roster for a Nice trip.

PSG have won the league title after being six- points clear of AS Monaco with one game in hand. The club confirmed that Mbappe’s absence has nothing to do with his departure nor the alleged alteration between him and the club’s president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi. 

Mbappe Hamstring Injury: Kylian Mbappe was not included in the squad

Goal reported the Mbappe hamstring injury and stated that the PSG star had discomfort in his hamstring during the Tuesday training prior to the trip to the south. The manager, Luis Enrique has no intention to put the France captain at risk of injury.

Following Mbappe’s departure announcement, L’Equipe reported that the 25-year old was involved in a heated conversation with Khelaifi. The actual reason was not clear but it was true that the latter was not mentioned in the farewell message. 

Mbappe seemed to have an ugly farewell with the fans as he was being booed when his name was announced prior to the game against Toulouse. The fans were not happy with the way Mbappe postponed his announcement regarding his attitude, leading to his farewell. 

It has been widely rumoured that Mbappe will go to Real Madrid next season. However, both parties have been acting as if there was nothing between them. Things got worse for Mbappe when PSG suffered a shocking home defeat.
