Neymar shows off flexibility in the gym as he eyes return to the pitch

Neymar is set to return to football soon, and his posts on Instagram have impressed his fans. The Brazilian is eyeing a return to the pitch at the end of the season, with the Copa America happening this summer. 

In a post on social media today, the Brazilian star was showing off his flexibility just six months after his ACL injury. He is running out of time to regain full fitness as the summer tournament starts on June 21st in the United States of America. 

In his posts earlier this year, fans were not happy with his physique. They believed that he was fat and he was upset with the comments. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and posted a video in which he said:

“Okay, overweight. But fat? I don’t think so! Take it, haters! Give it up or run away!”

Al Hilal are keen on getting Neymar back on the pitch. However, they have not missed their star signing as they have continued to top the league. They are currently 12 points clear of second-placed Al Nassr with 10 matches left this season.

Neymar eyeing return to former club soon

Santos’ club president, Marcelo Texeira, confirmed that they talked with Neymar. He revealed that the forward is interested in making a return to the Brazilian club, but after his stint at Al Hilal.

He said via GOAL:

“The conversation [with Neymar] was very quick, but it’s always quick conversations that have good effect. To come back and play here, he needs to recover well from injury. He will continue his experience in Saudi Arabia and then come back here.”

Texeira added:

“Yesterday I received his call. He said: ‘President, you’ve already retired at 10 until you return to the first division, so retire at 11 until I return.’ I’m already happy (laughs), I’m already hopeful. I’m going to put it in our group, so that we can study keeping 11 as well… We hope Neymar returns in the future. Let’s retire the 10 momentarily. And at 11 we will wait until our star returns.”

Neymar- Messi will reunite again

Neymar commented on the possibility of playing with Lionel Messi again and claimed that it was still a part of his plan. He said:

“Me and Messi playing together again? I hope so, I hope we will get to play together again. He’s a great person, everyone knows him. I think he’s happy (in Miami), and if he’s happy, I’m happy too.”

Neymar has played 206 matches with Lionel Messi at Barcelona and PSG. The duo have combined for 67 goals, with the Brazilian assisting the Argentine 40 times.
