The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 is set to be one of the most exciting new additions to the Asian cricket calendar, taking place in Doha, Qatar, from November 14 to 23, 2025. This tournament will be organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and has been rebranded as the Asia Cup Rising Stars Championship, having previously been known as the Emerging Asia Cup.

The tournament will feature the “A” squads of the five full-member nations, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, along with three associate sides that qualified through the ACC Premier Cup, like the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong. The competition will be played in the T20 format and consists of 15 matches, with the eight teams divided into two groups of four. Each team will play three group matches, and the top two from each group will advance to the semi-finals, followed by the grand final.

Afghanistan enters the tournament as the defending champions, having defeated India A, led by Tilak Varma, in the semifinals before overcoming Sri Lanka A in the final of the 2024 edition. The goal behind this event is to create a strong platform for emerging cricketers across Asia, giving them international exposure and helping bridge the gap between domestic cricket and the senior national level. It is a useful tournament for the associate teams who get to play the future stars of some of the best cricket teams in the world.

Asia Cup Rising Stars Schedule 2025

The official Asia Cup Rising Stars schedule has been revealed, but only till the first 6 matches, and the remaining schedule is expected to be out in a few days. As per the provisional schedule, the group stage matches are expected to take place from November 14 to 19, followed by the semi-finals on November 21 and the final on November 23.
