CAN Announces Contracts List For Nepal Men and Women Cricketers

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Monday announced the latest central contracts list for Nepal men’s and women’s cricketers. The announcement comes during an important period for Nepal cricket, with the national team competing in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 and preparing for other international assignments.

CAN has divided players into multiple categories based on performances and future plans, while also rewarding several young talents with contracts as they continue to strengthen their cricket structure. The Nepal Cricket Contracts List includes some of the richest cricketers in Nepal, whose earning are set to rise again.

In the men’s contracts list announced by CAN, captain Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Sandeep Lamichhane were placed in Category A+. Meanwhile, Aasif Sheikh, Karan KC, Kushal Bhurtel, and Sompal Kami were included in Category A.

The Category B of Nepal Cricket contracts list features Aarif Sheikh, Bhim Sharki, Gulsan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Nandan Yadav. Players such as Kushal Malla, Binod Bhandari, Sundeep Jora, and Arjun Kumal were named in Category C.

CAN also announced a Development category consisting of young players, including Arjun Saud, Dev Khanal, Rashid Khan, Narayan Joshi, Bipin Khatri, and Deepak Dumre.

This contract list of Nepal cricket include show that CAN has continued to focus on building depth in the national setup and preparing young cricketers for the future. Nepal cricket has remained busy in recent months with preparations for upcoming ICC and regional tournaments.

CAN also announced the women’s central contracts list alongside the men. National captain Indu Barma, young all-rounder Puja Mahato, experienced Rubina Chhetri, and Sita Rana Magar have been placed in Category A. Kabita Kunwar, Manisha Upadhyaya, and Samjhana Khadka were included in Category B.

Meanwhile, players such as Bindu Rawal, Kabita Joshi, Riya Sharma, and Rubi Poddar featured in Category C. CAN also named several emerging players in the Development category, including Ashmina Karmacharya, Kajal Shrestha, Roma Thapa, Sana Praveen, and Sony Pakhrin.

It's a great gesture by Nepal cricket as they have continued to invest in the growth of women's cricket, as the team has remained active in ICC qualification. The exposure to cricket with multiple series and tournaments will help Nepal women's cricketers earn a call-up from the best women's cricket leagues like WPL and WBBL.
