CSA 4-Day Series 2025-26: Full Schedule, Squads & Venues

The CSA 4-Day Series 2025–26 is South Africa’s first-class domestic tournament, which kicked off on 25 September 2025, running through to 22nd February 2026. Organised by the Cricket South Africa (CSA), this season features 15 teams, divided into two divisions. Division 1 has eight teams, while Division 2 features seven teams. Each team plays the others in their division once in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each division advancing to the final.

The tournament will serve as a crucial platform for both experienced players and young talent to showcase their skills in red-ball cricket, and such domestic tournaments have helped the South Africa side to become one of the best cricket teams in the world. Some of the notable names this season include Keshav Maharaj, Reeza Hendricks, Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch, all of whom are expected to play key roles for their respective sides.

The matches are spread across some of the top cricket stadiums in South Africa, including Newlands in Cape Town, Kingsmead in Durban, and the Wanderers in Johannesburg. A unique aspect of the CSA 4-Day Series is its bonus points system, which rewards teams for batting and bowling performances in the first 100 overs of the first innings.

CSA 4-Day Series Schedule and Venues

The CSA 4-Day Series Schedule for Division 1 (2025–26) features a competitive schedule with 28 league matches followed by a final, set to take place from September 25, 2025, to February 22, 2026. Eight provincial teams, Boland, Titans, Warriors, Western Province, KZN Inland, North West, Dolphins, and Lions, are competing across various iconic South African venues, including Paarl, Cape Town, Centurion, Durban, Johannesburg, and Potchefstroom. Each team will face others in a round-robin format, with performances across four-day matches determining the finalists.

CSA 4-Day Series Schedule Division 2

The CSA 4-Day Series schedule for Division 2 has been announced as well. It features an intense calendar of red-ball domestic cricket in South Africa, running from September 25, 2025, to February 10, 2026. Seven teams, namely Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Northern Cape, Border, Eastern Storm, South Western Districts, and Knights, are competing in a round-robin format. The top two teams from the group stage will advance to the final, scheduled from February 6 to 10, 2026, to battle for the Division 2 title.

The CSA 4-Day Series squads for Division 1 have been announced. It is South Africa’s top domestic first-class cricket competition, bringing together eight strong provincial teams: Boland, Dolphins, Knights, KwaZulu-Natal Inland, Lions, North West, Titans, and Warriors. The 2025-26 season started in late September and will run through to a final match in February.
