The countdown for the Asia Cup 2025 has begun as the tournament is less than three weeks away from now. Asia's biggest cricketing tournament will begin on 9th September with the final set to be played on 28th September.

The Asia Cup 2025, which will be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the richest cricket board in the world, will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai and the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi will be the two venues for the tournament.

The Asia Cup 2025 will be a great preparation for the teams to get ready for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, which will be played in India next year. The continental tournament will see eight teams taking part as they have been divided into two groups of four teams each.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Four stage, where the top two teams in the points table will play the final. The tournament will be played in T20I format with the top teams of Asia taking part in it.

Hong Kong Schedule for Asia Cup 2025

The Hong Kong Cricket Team will open their campaign against Afghanistan, which has emerged into one of the best cricket teams in the world. The match will be played on September 9 in Abu Dhabi in what will be a tournament opener as well. After that, they will lock horns with Bangladesh on September 11 in Abu Dhabi before taking on Sri Lanka in their last league game on September 15 in Dubai.

Before the tournament, Hong Kong will also have a preparation camp in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting August 24. Head coach Kaushal Silva will oversee all the proceedings. The team will take part in a few competitive games along with the practice sessions during the preparatory camp.

India, Pakistan, Bangladesh Announce Asia Cup 2025 Squad

Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Team, along with the Indian Cricket Team, also announced their squads for the Asia Cup 2025. The Men in Blue will be captained by Suryakumar Yadav, while the Men in Green will be led by Salman Ali Agha in the tournament. Both these teams will face each other in a mouth-watering clash on September 14.

Bangladesh have also named their squad for the Asia Cup 2025. Litton Das will be captaining the side, with the main highlight being Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossain Shanto's dropping. With all teams strong, the tournament promises to be an exciting one.
