Afghanistan Tour of India 2026: Full Schedule, Squads, and Venues

The Afghanistan cricket team will be travelling to India for a historic Test and ODI series. The series holds high importance given Afghanistan's rapid rise in the cricketing world over the last few years. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has now announced the official schedule of the Afghanistan Tour of India 2026.

After making their debut in Test cricket, the Afghan team will now be playing a red-ball match against India for the second time. After the historic Test match, both teams will also play a three-match ODI series against each other.

Interestingly, the focus will be on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as they get ready for their next international assignment. Both of them are among the best cricketers in the world and the fans are eagerly waiting to see them back in action.

IND vs AFG Schedule 2026

This tour has been designed to give more focus on the ODI cricket, with a Test match added as well. It is going to start from the northern region of India with New Chandigarh to host the Only Test match.

The caravan will then move to Dharamshala for the first ODI of the series. The next ODI match will be played in Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. The tour will conclude with the final ODI set to be played in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, one of the biggest cricket stadiums in the world. All these ODIs will begin from 1:30PM IST.
