Record Broken! Another IND vs AUS T20I Went Sold Out

3 min
IND vs AUS

After the 4th T20I in the 2025 India–Australia series, India lead 2-1 following a dominant 48-run win at the Carrara Oval, Gold Coast, on 6 November 2025. India posted 167/8, with Shubman Gill (46) and Axar Patel (21)* contributing with runs. In reply, Australia were bundled out for 119 by India’s spin trio. Washington Sundar (3/3) and Axar Patel (2/20) were the match-winners for India as the hosts collapsed after a steady start. India now needs one more win in the final T20I at Brisbane to clinch the series, and the tickets for that match have been sold out.

IND vs AUS Tickets Sold Out

Cricket Australia (CA) confirmed that tickets for the men’s T20I clash between Australia and India at the Gabba have been completely sold out. Even the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) tickets were also sold out over three weeks before the match on October 31, which was the 2nd T20I of the series. CA noted that the outstanding response to the Melbourne T20I shows the excitement around India’s white-ball tour of Australia, with ticket sales exceeding 175,000 across the eight scheduled matches.

The series decider is set to start at 6:15 PM local time (1:45 PM IST), and both teams will be eager to wrap up their white-ball leg on a winning note. India has the chance to seal the series 3-1, while the home team will try to settle for a draw with the scoreline being 2-2. A packed stadium is anticipated once again, as Indian supporters in Brisbane, who have turned out in impressive numbers all tour, prepare to create an unforgettable atmosphere for the showdown with some of the most dangerous batsman in the world taking part in the game.

India Eyes Series Win While the Aussies Rely on Gabba Record

The Gabba is no longer the intimidating fortress it once was. Australia’s dominance at this ground has diminished, with the home side winning only two of the last five Tests played there. One can even say that gone are the days when the Gabba automatically struck fear into visiting teams.

However, when it comes to T20Is, Australia still have a solid record in Brisbane, even if the number of games isn’t huge. Out of eight T20Is played there since 2006, Australia have lost just once, to the West Indies in 2013. That record is something they’ll be eager to continue, at least for one more game, as they aim to level the five-match series after India claimed a lead during the 4th T20I on the Gold Coast.

This series has been unusual so far. It began with a washout in Canberra, followed by a dominant win for Australia in front of a full house at the MCG. But India has bounced back impressively, winning the next two games in convincing fashion, showing why they are among the best cricket team in the world.

Australia’s inability to claim a home T20I series against India will continue unless they make a strong statement in the IND vs AUS 5th T20I. For India, it’s a golden chance to strengthen its hold on the T20I trophy ahead of its home cricket action later this year.
