IND vs NZ schedule 2026

The Indian cricket team is set to be back in action in a white-ball series against New Zealand at home. The New Zealand tour of India 2026 will commence with a three-match ODI series, starting on January 11 in Vadodara, followed by a five-match T20I series. The ODI series will also feature the likes of veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who are currently in action in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Top order batter Shubman Gill will continue to lead the side; however, the star batter suffered an injury during the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa. He was also dropped from India's squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup, despite being the vice-captain of the team. Chief selector and former India pacer Ajit Agarkar said that Gill's inconsistency and short of runs in the shortest format is the reason behind his omission.

IND vs NZ Schedule 2026

The India vs New Zealand schedule 2026 is out, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has chosen some iconic venues for the series. The first match will be played at Vadodara's BCA Stadium on January 11. The next two ODIs will be played in Rajkot and Indore, respectively. Both Kohli and Rohit are among the best batsmen in the world and in red-hot form, and it would be interesting to see the two former India captains, scoring more and more runs during the series.

The T20I series will start on January 21, with the first match to be played in Nagpur, which has one of the biggest cricket stadiums in India. The series will bring a great opportunity for Indian players to get back to their form ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup next year.
