Team India thrashed New Zealand in the T20 World Cup 2026 final played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue dominated the game right from the beginning and didn't allow the opposition to get on top of them.

The performance of New Zealand team was below par throughout the IND vs NZ T20 World Cup match which caught the netizens by surprise. The Kiwis were never in the game which made the users on social media question their performance.

New Zealand's poor performance made the fans wonder about their integrity in the ICC T20 World Cup final. As a result, Jofra Archer's old tweet went viral, which said, ‘Kiwis match fixing’. Archer had tweeted this way back in 2014.

As of now, there are no reports on match fixing in IND vs NZ final match. However, it will be clear in some days if the ICC decides to investigate the matter. But that doesn't take away the fact that India dominated New Zealand at every aspect of the game.

India Topple New Zealand in One-Sided Final

New Zealand were right on the back foot right from the start of the IND vs NZ final 2026 game. After starting the match with the off-spinner Glenn Phillips, skipper Santner brought in the pacers to allow Abhishek Sharma get back into form.

Abhishek, the best T20 batsman in the world, made the most of it and struck a 18-ball fifty. It allowed India the perfect platform to launch into New Zealand's bowling attack. The carnage continued after Abhishek was dismissed as Samson continued the run-scoring spree alongside Ishan Kishan.

In the batting as well, New Zealand were never on the cards despite having one of the most dangerous batsmen in the world like Finn Allen and Tim Seifert. In the end, they were bundled out for just 159 runs and fell 96 runs short of the target.
