The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be the 10th edition of this major international tournament in women’s T20 cricket, organised by the International Cricket Council. Matches will be played at some of the best cricket stadiums in the world, such as Edgbaston, The Oval, Old Trafford, Headingley, Bristol County Ground, and The Rose Bowl.
The England women's cricket team qualified as hosts, while strong sides like Australia, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and the West Indies earned direct entry based on rankings. The remaining places were filled through qualifying events, with teams like Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands making the cut.
Harmanpreet Kaur Continues to Lead With Smriti As Deputy
The India Women T20 World Cup 2026 squad has been announced, and the core group of players remains the same for the ICC event, with one of the best women cricketers, Harmanpreet Kaur, set to lead the side once again in English conditions, while Smriti Mandhana will serve as the vice-captain.
India is placed in Group A alongside Australia, Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands, and the top two teams from both groups will clash in the semi-finals. The squad announcement also involved the same squads for the T20I series against England before the biggest stage, T20 World Cup 2026.
