Team-Wise Player List After T20 Mumbai Women’s League Auction

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has officially launched the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League, following the immense success of the men’s edition. The player auction of the women's competition took place on, May 2, 2026, with some of the talented cricketers in India going under the hammer to join three newly formed franchises.

Each team was required to build a squad of 16 to 18 players, featuring at least two Under-19 players to ensure a focus on emerging talent from Mumbai’s domestic circuit. Let's find out about the squads of the participating teams.

T20 Mumbai Women’s League Teams

The league features three powerhouse franchises representing different regions of the city. These teams will compete in a round-robin format before the top two face off in the grand finale. The participating teams are SoBo Mumbai Falcons, Thane Sky Risers, and Aakash Tigers.

This league is a perfect platform for the domestic women cricketers in India to make a name for themselves. The eyes of the WPL recruits will be on this league which can enable these players to play in the best women cricket leagues in the future. T20 Mumbai Women’s League Squads

Ahead of the auction, the MCA designated three Icon Players in the T20 Mumbai Women’s League player list, who were assigned to lead their respective franchises. All three Icon players were signed for a fixed fee before the bidding process to provide stability to the new franchises.

Domestic stars and some of the top women cricketers in India with major league experience, such as Fatima Jaffer and Manali Dakshini, were among the top picks. Here are the full squads following the 2026 auction.

SoBo Mumbai Falcons Squad

The Falcons will be led by the experienced Sayali Satghare, who has been a mainstay in domestic cricket. The team focused heavily on all-rounders during the auction to ensure depth in the T20 format. Satghare, a bowling all-rounder has already played a Test match for India, where she featured with some of the best women cricketers.

The Thane Sky Risers secured Saima Thakor as their Icon Player. Thakor, known for her pace and ability to swing the ball, leads a bowling-heavy unit that looks to dominate the powerplay overs.
