This Hundred Team Follows RCB's Winning Formula With New Management

After the deals between England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and franchises, the Hundred Sale process was recently completed. Now, the focus moves towards the next edition of the league with new owners coming in with new ideas and things.

The Hundred 2026 will be one of the exciting leagues to watch out for as IPL owners have taken over some of the franchises. The same has been the case in the SA20 as well as ILT20 and the success of those leagues is an example why Hundred cannot be a big success now.

With all the formalities done now, the franchises have racked up their preparations for the Hundred 2026. One of the teams that has upped the game from today onwards is London Spirit as they have roped in fresh faces in the coaching staff.

London Spirit Coaching Staff

London Spirit have made massive additions to their coaching staff. They recently added Dinesh Karthik to the management as a batting coach as well as a mentor. This means that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru coaching staff will be the same as London Spirit.

Mo Bobat is the Director of Cricket for London Spirit in the Hundred, while Andy Flower is their head coach. Now, with Dinesh Karthik being roped in as well, this makes the same staff as that of the RCB side, which won the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 under the leadership of Rajat Patidar.

Dinesh Karthik London Spirit appointment comes as a big news for the team. Karthik was one of the best wicketkeepers in India during his playing days. Bobat highlighted that they want their players to receive the best possible support. Speaking in an official statement:

“The signing of another elite individual with significant stature in the game demonstrates our ambition, and the importance we place on ensuring that our players receive the best possible support."

RCB & London Spirit Coaching Staff

In 2025, London Spirit had a poor outing as they finished second last in the points table. They won only three of their eight matches and this led to the owners showing exit to the coaching staff. It remains to be seen how they fare in next edition.

This will now be a major boost for London Spirit who are yet to win a title in Hundred. The next edition would be a great opportunity for them to end their title drought and win the title with the same staff with which RCB won their maiden title and etched their name among the best teams in IPL. They defeated Punjab Kings in the final and lifted the title for the first time in the 18 years.
