One of those cricketers is former India captain MS Dhoni, who was also known as one of the best finishers of the game. His captaincy skills and batting heroics have now helped him to become the 2025 inductee of the ICC Hall of Fame.

MS Dhoni is the only captain in cricket history who has won all three major tournaments of the game, which are the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, and the Champions Trophy. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter is unarguably the greatest Indian captain to ever grace the game. Apart from that, he was also one of the most flawless wicketkeepers of all time.

Talking about his wicketkeeping stats in the ODI cricket, the Ranchi-based cricketer holds the record for most dismissals in the 50-over format - 444 (321 catches, 123 stumpings). While in Test cricket, he has the record of 294 dismissals (256 catches, 38 stumpings). In T20I cricket, Dhoni has 91 dismissals in 97 innings, including 57 catches and 34 stumpings.

Apart from Dhoni, there have been some other players as well who have been inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame 2025, and they are Mathew Hayden, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Daniel Vettori, Sana Mir, and Sarah Taylor. These amazing cricketing stars are added to the list by the ICC on Monday. ICC Chairman Jay Shah announced the list at a gala event at Abbey Road Studios in London.

This year, we are privileged to induct seven truly outstanding individuals into this prestigious group. Dhoni is known as one of the calmest cricketers on the field because of the way he functions. He supported the players and gave them a platform to showcase their talent. The 43-year-old cricketer is still playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) because he wants to stay connected with the game and the fans.
