Nepal Cricket Team Schedule, Squads, Key Matches in T20 World Cup 2026

The qualifiers of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 concluded recently and we saw all the 20 teams booking their berth for the marquee event. The tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka in February-March and the preparations for that have already begun.

All the teams which qualified surprised the fans with their high brand of cricket and one among them was the Nepal national cricket team. They were placed in Group 2 and won both games there to move ahead into the Super Six stage.

Their main heroics came in the Super Six stage, where they played five games and won all of them. They finished at the top of the points table ten points under their name. They, along with Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), qualified for the T20 World Cup 2026 from the East Asia Pacific Qualifiers, where they will face the best cricket teams in the world.

The Nepal Cricket Team will be the underdogs heading into the T20 World Cup 2026. In the last few years, they have played a great brand of cricket. Along with qualifying for the T20 World Cup 2026, they also defeated the West Indies in the three-match T20I series in a historic result.

Although the schedule of the T20 World Cup 2025 is yet to be announced, Nepal are expected to be placed in one of the groups, which might feature some of the big teams and it will be a great exposure for them to play against the likes of India, Australia, England and others.
